CEJ leads Green Skills bootcamp for Journalists in Islamabad

IBA-CEJ contributed to the Green Skills Program for Journalists – Two-Day Bootcamp, organized by the Institute for Research, Advocacy and Development (IRADA) in partnership with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). The bootcamp was conducted as part of the Embassy of Denmark-funded project, Shaping Pakistan's Climate Prosperity Plan to Advance Inclusive and Equitable Development in Pakistan, and brought together journalists from across the country to strengthen their capacity in climate reporting through sessions on climate science, investigative journalism, data-driven reporting, and community-centered storytelling.

Representing CEJ, Mariam Khan led an interactive session titled Telling Stories of Resilience, Not Just Crisis, encouraging journalists to move beyond disaster-focused narratives and highlight community resilience, local adaptation efforts, and solutions to climate challenges.

CEJ also facilitated a hands-on Regional Climate Challenge Mapping workshop, where participants collaborated to identify region-specific climate risks, examine their local impacts, and develop compelling story ideas grounded in the realities of their communities.
