IBA-CEJ, in partnership with ICRC Pakistan, conducted the International Humanitarian Law for Journalists Workshop, bringing together senior journalists from regional, national, and international media organizations, along with journalism and media students.
Led by Ahsan Qazi, the workshop covered the legal status and protection of journalists, the classification of armed conflicts, the distinction between international humanitarian law and human rights law, and the principles of the Geneva Conventions.
Participants also engaged in interactive discussions and practical exercises, exploring how international humanitarian law supports accurate, responsible reporting from conflict-affected regions.
