The Center for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ) at IBA Karachi hosted the Leadership Training Program for Women Journalists under the IRADA initiative, bringing together women reporters and media professionals for a two-day capacity-building program.
Designed to strengthen leadership skills and professional confidence, the program focused on equipping women journalists with the tools needed to navigate the evolving media landscape while advancing their roles within newsrooms. Through interactive sessions and discussions, participants engaged with themes of leadership, professional growth, and newsroom dynamics in the face of industry challenges.
The initiative aimed to create a supportive learning environment where women journalists could build networks, share experiences, and develop strategies to strengthen their presence and influence in Pakistan’s media sector. By fostering leadership and encouraging impactful storytelling, the program sought to contribute to a more inclusive and representative media landscape.
